Cypriot Stetatite Scarab
Length 1.65cm
A small scarab of white stetatite (soapstone).
The scarab was excavated by the Swedish Cyprus Expedition in 1929 at Ayia Irini in the Sanctuary, square R9, level 94.4. It has been part of the collection of the Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, Sweden (Inv. No. A.I. 2509) since 1930.
