Cultural tourism is about managing cultural heritage and tourism in an integrated way. It’s about working with local communities to create benefits for everyone involved. This helps preserve tangible and intangible cultural heritage while developing tourism. As part of the TExTOUR project deliverables, we are pleased to announce the publication of the second Infopack out of eight, setting out the principles to help communities get “on the road” to sustainable cultural tourism.
This new Infopack focuses on digital cultural tourism and features the work done in supporting the community of Fikardou Village, Cyprus in their ambitions to increase and maintain sustainable tourism by leveraging the power of new technologies.
