The Research and Innovation Centre on Interactive Media, Smart System and Emerging Technologies – CYENS Centre of Excellence (formerly known as RISE), empowers knowledge and technology transfer in the region. CYENS CoE is supported by the European Commission, the Republic of Cyprus and its founding Partners, the Municipality of Nicosia, the Max Planck Institute for Informatics (MPI), University College London, the University of Cyprus, the Cyprus University of Technology and the Open University of Cyprus.

Το Κέντρο Έρευνας και Καινοτομίας για τα Διαδραστικά Μέσα, τα Έξυπνα Συστήματα και τις Αναδυόμενες Τεχνολογίες – Κέντρο Αριστείας CYENS (πρώην γνωστό ως RISE), ενισχύει τη μεταφορά γνώσης και τεχνολογίας στην περιοχή. Το CYENS CoE υποστηρίζεται από την Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή, την Κυπριακή Δημοκρατία και τους ιδρυτικούς εταίρους του, το Δήμο Λευκωσίας, το Ινστιτούτο Πληροφορικής Max Planck (MPI), το University College London, το Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου, το Τεχνολογικό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου και το Ανοικτό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου.
