The picturesque village of Arsos is located in the District of Limassol and is built on the slopes of Mount Laona at an altitude of 850 meters, just 42 km from the city of Limassol. According to the 2011 census it had 202 inhabitants.
The name of the village is believed to come either from the Sacred Grove of the goddess Aphrodite, where the village is built, or because of its position as one of the four cities founded by Ptolemy Philadelphus in honor of Arsinoe.
The village is a classic example of a densely built settlement. The narrow streets, the long streets, the two-rooms and the lofts built with flawlessly cut stone in combination with the tiled roofs lend a charm to the architecture of the village. The many neoclassical buildings of the village are also characteristic.
The wine of Arsos was considered one of the best produced on the island, a reputation that continues to this day. The production of wine and zivania is still the main occupation of the inhabitants.

Το γραφικό χωριό Άρσος βρίσκεται στην Επαρχία Λεμεσού και είναι χτισμένο στις πλαγιές του βουνού Λαόνα σε υψόμετρο 850 μέτρων, μόλις 42 χλμ. από την πόλη της Λεμεσού. Σύμφωνα με την απογραφή του 2011 είχε 202 κατοίκους.
Το όνομά του χωριού πιστεύεται ότι προέρχεται είτε από το Ιερό Άλσος της θεάς Αφροδίτης, όπου είναι χτισμένο το χωριό, είτε λόγω της θέσης του ως μια από τις τέσσερις πόλεις που ίδρυσε ο Πτολεμαίος Φιλάδελφος προς τιμήν της Αρσινόης.
Το χωριοείναι κλασσικό παράδειγμα πυκνοδομημένου οικισμού. Οι στενοί δρόμοι, τα μακρυνάρια, τα δίχωρα και τα ανώγεια κτισμένα με άψογη πελεκητή πέτρα σε συνδυασμό με τις κεραμιδένιες στέγες προσδίδουν μια γοητεία στην αρχιτεκτονική του χωριού. Χαρακτηριστικά είναι επίσης τα πολλά νεοκλασικά κτίρια του χωριού.
Το κρασί του Άρσους θεωρούνταν ένα από τα καλύτερα παραγόμενα στο νησί, φήμη που συνεχίζεται μέχρι σήμερα. Η παραγωγή κρασιού και ζιβανίας εξακολουθεί να είναι η κύρια ασχολία των κατοίκων.
