The Cyprus University of Technology and the University of Crete have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen their cooperation in the field of Digital Cultural Heritage. This agreement aims to enhance knowledge exchange and collaboration between the two universities and to promote joint research projects in this field. In addition, the H2020 MNEMOSYNE project and the EU HE ERA Chair TALOS project will also be working closely together to promote their common goals of advancing research and innovation in artificial intelligence for humanities and social sciences and digital cultural heritage. The signing of these agreements marks an important step towards building a stronger network of academic institutions working together to address the challenges facing these rapidly evolving fields.

The ERA Chair H2020 MNEMOSYNE project and the EU HE ERA Chair TALOS at the University of Crete are collaborating to organize a summer school in October 2023. This partnership brings together experts in the fields of digital cultural heritage and artificial intelligence for humanities and social sciences. By combining their expertise, the summer school will provide participants with a unique learning opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge in these rapidly evolving fields.

The cooperation between MNEMOSYNE and TALOS will strengthen knowledge transfer and generate new knowledge, and it will also support AI policymaking informed by social sciences and humanities. This partnership is a great example of how collaboration between research institutions leads to innovative approaches to address societal challenges.
