Between the 4th and 8th of November 2024, the UNESCO Chair on Digital Cultural Heritage from Cyprus University of Technology travelled to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia to participate in the first Digital Humanities Mongolia 2024, the first international conference dedicated to the domain to be held in Mongolia.
Representing both Cyprus and the ARTEST Erasmus+ project, Dr. Marinos Ioannides and DHRLab researcher Elena Karittevli delivered presentations on behalf of the UNESCO Chair, showcasing our expertise and advancing discussions on interdisciplinary approaches to the digital documentation and preservation of cultural heritage.
During the mission, the away team were able to join with other members of the ARTEST Erasmus+ project from the European Union and Mongolia to hold the 3rd ARTEST Erasmus+ Workshop, and celebrate with colleagues the Erasmus+ Day event 2024 promoting best practices, mobility experiences, intercultural opportunities and encourage engagement and creativity throughout Europe and its academic partnerships with H.E. Ina Marciulionyte, the Ambassador of the European Union to Mongolia.
