We are excited to announce a recent development in the field of cultural heritage preservation. The UNESCO Chair on Digital Cultural Heritage and the Korean University of Cultural Heritage have joined forces by signing a Memorandum of Understanding. This partnership aims to address mutual concerns surrounding the documentation and preservation of cultural heritage, as well as the Memory of the World.
During two consecutive meetings held in the week of 24-28 April 2023, the research teams from Cyprus and South Korea came together to exchange ideas on future collaborative actions and projects. Among the initiatives discussed were student exchange programs and digital cultural heritage programs. These programs, including summer schools, conferences, and forums, will be open for participation by individuals from both Europe and Asia.
The research teams also discussed ideas for future mutual research agendas. This partnership will facilitate the sharing of knowledge and resources between the two institutions, which will enable them to address the challenges and opportunities in the field of cultural heritage preservation more effectively.
Overall, this partnership represents an exciting opportunity to foster international collaboration and advance the preservation of cultural heritage for future generations.
