HERITALISE starts at DHRLab

The Horizon Europe HERITALISE project started on the 1st of January 2025 and today, with all of our team now back from vactions, we had our first offical internal meeting for the project!

The HERITALISE project focuses on using advanced technologies like artificial intelligence, and emerging digitisation tools and methodologies to document and preserve cultural heritage. It’s aim is to enhance our understanding of cultural heritage by providing deeper connections and insights, visible and invisible, through innovative approaches like smarter data processing and knowledge graph creation and interpretation.

Key objectives of HERITALISE include:

  • State-of-the-art review of digitisation standards and data requirements
  • Improved 3D/2D data acquisition technologies
  • Adoption of AI-powered methods for data post-processing and integration
  • Development of hardware/software services for CH documentation
  • Creation of open interoperability components for a web-based architecture
  • Enhancing the impact of emerging digitisation technologies

This project will support European institutions in preserving and sharing cultural heritage more effectively. Stay tuned for updates as we work to make this vision a reality!
