<p>The first eArchiving Initiative virtual training webinar will take place on Thursday, 27 April 2023, 10.00 – 11.30 CET and will be hosted by Dr Sven Schlarb of the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT).</p> <p>This webinar will present a series of standards and recommendations offered by the European Commission™s eArchiving initiative, which define an Archival Information Package (AIP) that is designed to preserve the archival content with structural, descriptive, technical and preservation metadata.</p> <p>Use cases will illustrate how eArchiving metadata can specify restrictions concerning software or human agents that want to manipulate the AIP (e.g., preservation actions). This includes a demonstration of how the changes can be versioned and documented and how the access conditions and agreements regarding DIP use can be made to persist as part of the AIP.</p> <p>Practical information about the event will be provided after registration.</p> <p>More information on the programme and timings.</p> <p>Registration  will be open until Friday, 21 April 2023</p>
