Joint Workshop for the Quality in 3D Digitisation of Tangible Cultural Heritage
Description of the event
The overall aim of this unique EU VIGIE2020/654 study was to improve the Quality of 3D digitization projects for tangible cultural heritage (movable/immovable), so that is in line with the policy of the European Union. This study received full support from the multidisciplinary scientific community to map parameters, formats, standards, benchmarks, methodologies and guidelines for stakeholders, professionals, content-developers, academics and research institutions to be able to define and produce high-quality data acquisitions, procedures and methodologies for the 3D documentation of the past.
Impact
The Mnemosyne project organized with the European Commission and the team of the study a joint workshop to present the latest results of the project and the synergies to the VIGIE2020/654. Fifty six key professionals from the multidisciplinary community of 3D digitization were actively involved.
