Between 25th-29th August 2025, the UNESCO Chair on Digital Cultural Heritage attended the 30th CIPA 2025 Symposium “Heritage Conservation from Bits: From Digital Documentation to Data-driven Heritage Conservation,” held in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
We were delighted to have three papers accepted for the conference related to the HERITALISE project and our continuing work at the Digital Cultural Heritage Research Centre, MNEMOSYNE.
Our colleague, Alberto Mendikute Garate, from Tekniker, presented a report on the HERITALISE project on Monday the 25th. “HERITALISE: Project Insights and Initial Developments” in the first session of Digital Applications in the Museum Context
Heritage Malta‘s Anthony Cassar also presented on Monday with the paper “From Digital Twin to Memory Twin: A Holistic Framework for Cultural Heritage Documentation, Interpretation, and Adaptive Reuse” in the session Smart Management Technology for Cultural Heritage.
Our third paper, “Quality Certification in Data Acquisition for Cultural Heritage: The Power of Paradata for High Quality Digital 3D Cultural Heritage Assets“, was presented by Marinos Ioannides in the Technical session Strategy, Standardisation, and Ethics on Wednesday 27th.
