Call for submission: Research abstract for the Traditional Crafts & Arts Forum 2025

In alignment with the declaration of 2025 as the Year of Handicrafts, the Royal Institute of Traditional Arts (Wrth) is honoured to host the Traditional Arts and Crafts Forum, taking place over three days from 10 to 12 November 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

This forum will serve as an interactive knowledge platform, exploring the essence and future of traditional arts and crafts. Suggested topics will include, but are not limited to:

  • Scientific Research in Traditional Arts and Crafts
  • Heritage in Cultural Policies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
  • Art, Artificial Intelligence, and the Cultural Labor Market
  • Challenges and Opportunities in Documenting and Preserving Craft Heritage in Saudi Arabia and the Arab Region
  • Traditional Crafts: From Industry to Cultural Identity
  • From Craft to Brand: Marketing Heritage Art

You are invited to submit the abstract with below themes:

  • Capacity Building and Knowledge Transfer
  • Global Cultural Collaboration.
  • Future Visions for Preservation.
