We were delighted and humbled to be acknowledged by the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides, in his address today celebrating the graduation of doctoral students from Cyprus University of Technology [TEPAK].
Following his remarks on the progress of the University as an international centre of excellence and its recognition by the European Commission as a supportive environment for collaboration and research, Mr Christodoulides said
“Equally important is the international success of the University with the assumption and renewal of the UNESCO Chair for Digital Cultural Heritage, which is the only one in the world in this field and has been operating at TEPAK [CUT] since 2018. The contribution of the Chair – unique in the world – to the preservation and promotion of global cultural heritage through technology is of exceptional importance.“
We thank Mr. Christodoulides for his kind words and support, and with our recent confirmation as the Digital Cultural Heritage Research Centre MNEMOSYNE, we look forward to continuing and expanding on this noted contribution to the success of the University, Cyprus and the International Community of Cultural Heritage professionals.
