The eleventh eArchiving training webinar will introduce the key eArchiving specifications.

eArchiving standards and specifications, such as those specified by the eArchiving Initiative, enable information transfer and interoperability. In this webinar, metadata strategist Karin Bredenberg will explain what standards, profiles, and specifications are and how they ensure interoperability. The focus will be the suite of E-ARK specifications, beginning with Common Specifications, such as the Common Specification for Information Packages (CSIP) and the profiles for Submission Information Packages (SIP), Archival Information Packages (AIP) and Dissemination Information Packages (DIP). It will also consider Content Information Type Specifications (CITS) and how they contribute to the wider eArchiving landscape.

This webinar is suitable for those who wish to understand how the ecosystem of eArchiving Initiative specifications works to achieve interoperability and how you can contribute to this ecosystem by creating new Content Information Type Specifications.

The training webinar will be presented by Karin Bredenberg of Kommunalförbundet Sydarkivera, Sweden, on Thursday, 17 October 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 CEST.
