Mitseros Cultural Center – Damianos Foundation
Damianos Konstantinou was born in 1938 in Mitsero, Cyprus and is the founder of the “Kostis Damianou” amphitheater of the Mitsero community and its cultural center. The state-of-the-art facilities were inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Cyprus Mr. D. Christofias in 2009. as well as for the biographies of the “Damians” the books “Amphitheater – Kostis Damianou in Mitsero” and “The Damians of Mitsero” have been published.
Four of the main goals of the Cultural Foundation are:
- The study and recording of the History of Mitseros and its area, the occupations and the traditions of the inhabitants of the community since its foundation.
- The study of the participation of the inhabitants of Mitsero and the surrounding area in all the liberation struggles of the nation.
- The study of the history of the area and the contribution of the village to the History of copper, since its copper mines are known since the time of the discovery of copper and belonged to the ancient kingdom of Tamassos.
- The upgrading and development of the intellectual and cultural life of the area and raising the awareness of the inhabitants and especially the young people in matters of Culture and Education.

Πολιτιστικό Κέντρο Μιτσερού – Ίδρυμα Δαμιανού
Ο Δαμιανός Κωνσταντίνου γεννήθηκε το 1938 στο Μιτσερό της Κύπρου και είναι ο ιδρυτής του αμφιθεάτρου “Κωστής Δαμιανού” της κοινότητας Μιτσερού και του πολιτιστικού κέντρου του.Τις υπερσύχρονες εγκαταστάσεις εγκαινίασε ο Πρόεδρος της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας κ. Δ. Χριστόφιας το 2009. Για το κοινωφελές έργο του καθώς και για τις βιογραφίες των “Δαμιανών” έχουν εκδοθεί τα βιβλία “Αμφιθέατρο – Κωστής Δαμιανού στο Μιτσερό” και “Οι Δαμιανοί του Μιτσερού”.
Τέσσερις από τους κυριότερους στόχους του Πολιτιστικού Ιδρύματος είναι:
- Η μελέτη και καταγραφή της Ιστορίας του Μιτσερού και της περιοχής του, των ασχολιών και των παραδόσεων των κατοίκων της κοινότητας από την ίδρυσή της.
- Η μελέτη της συμμετοχής των κατοίκων του Μιτσερού και της γύρω περιοχής σε όλους τους απελευθερωτικούς αγώνες του έθνους.
- Η μελέτη της ιστορίας της περιοχής και η συνεισφορά του χωριού στην Ιστορία του χαλκού, αφού τα χαλκορυχία του είναι γνωστά από την εποχή της ανακάλυψης του χαλκού και άνηκαν στο αρχαίο βασίλειο της Ταμασσού.
- Η αναβάθμιση και ανάπτυξη της πνευματικής και πολιτιστικής ζωής της περιοχής και ευαισθητοποίηση των κατοίκων και ιδιαίτερα των νέων σε θέματα Πολιτισμού και Παιδείας.
