A survey conducted in 2020 by the EAA community for 3D archaeology showed that different stakeholder groups working with 3D technology have individual needs concerning data handling and management. Currently, efforts are being made on various levels to define guidelines and regulations for 3D digitization of cultural heritage.

The discussion will focus on open questions like: How can guidelines be useful for their individual daily tasks? Who should issue the guidelines? How far should these go and on which aspects should the focus lie? Can and should they be applicable to everbody?
